With a weight exceeding one carat, the stone has enough surface for the long, straight line of the cut to read even from a distance. The side diamonds in the band accompany this line without interrupting it. The arrangement joins two kinds of reflection: the broad, calm flashes of a step cut and the pinpoint light of the diamonds.
What cut does the tanzanite in B.One N°45 have?
The tanzanite in B.One N°45 has a baguette cut, a step cut in which the facets run parallel to the edges of the stone. This purple tanzanite from Tanzania is AAA grade and weighs 1.04 CT. In a step cut the clarity of a stone shows more clearly than in cuts with many small facets, which is why it is chosen for clean stones.
Why don't the diamonds in B.One N°45 have a GIA certificate?
They have none, because we provide a GIA certificate for diamonds from 0.30 CT, and the side diamonds in B.One N°45 weigh 0.15 CT in total. Each of them measures 1.5 x 1.5 mm, and they are described in a BELLER certificate with a gemologist's description. The same certificate, signed by the founder of the brand, also covers the tanzanite.
Can B.One N°45 be made smaller?
Yes, though only within a limited range. The ring comes in one size; we can make it smaller, but it cannot be enlarged. B.One N°45 was made in size 11, and the side diamonds set into the band limit how far it can be shortened, so we assess the extent of the reduction individually after measuring the finger.
