A certificate is a promise in writing

In the world of precious stones, trust takes the form of a document. A certificate is not a decorative addition to jewellery but a record of facts: who examined the stone, what they established and what they take responsibility for. That is why every BELLER piece leaves our atelier with a complete set of documents, and the parameters of our diamonds are confirmed by independent laboratories.

We believe true luxury begins with clarity. BELLER clients never have to take our word for it: they can read, verify and compare. This is what separates investment jewellery from a beautiful object with no history.

The BELLER certificate

Every BELLER piece comes with our own certificate of authenticity. The stone descriptions are prepared by a gemmologist: you will find the type and origin of the stone, its weight, colour and clarity, along with details of the precious metal used for the setting. We sign the document as its makers, taking responsibility for every parameter, and our descriptions follow the standards of CIBJO, the international jewellery confederation.

BELLER's responsibility is also confirmed by our maker's mark: a hallmark registered with the Assay Office and assigned exclusively to our atelier. We place it on every piece that leaves our workshop. Permanently struck into the metal, it remains an unambiguous sign of origin and authorship.

Next to the maker's mark sits the assay mark, applied by the Assay Office after the piece has been examined. It is an independent, state confirmation of the actual gold content of the alloy, governed by hallmarking law. We do not apply this mark ourselves - it is an official confirmation of the fineness of the metal used in the jewellery.

For diamonds we work with reports from the independent GIA and HRD Antwerp institutes, and we select our centre stones in D-E colour and VVS1 clarity. The BELLER certificate brings all this data together in one clear document that stays with you forever.

Does every BELLER piece come with a certificate?

Yes. Every order includes the BELLER certificate of authenticity with a description prepared by a gemmologist: the type of stone, its weight, colour, clarity and the parameters of the precious metal. Diamonds of 0.3 ct and above additionally receive a report from the independent GIA institute.

How does a GIA certificate differ from HRD Antwerp?

Both institutes are independent laboratories of world renown. GIA is the American creator of the 4C scale, the most widely used standard in the world. HRD Antwerp is the European authority from Antwerp, grading stones according to the rules of the International Diamond Council. Reports from both institutes describe the same characteristics of a stone and both can be verified online.

How do I verify the certificate of my stone?

Every GIA and HRD Antwerp report carries a number you can check in the institute's online database (GIA Report Check, HRD Antwerp Report Check). The BELLER certificate is signed by our atelier, and if you have a question about any parameter, write to atelier@bellerpol.sbs: our gemmologist will answer and help with verification.
